i was looking through some bios setting on my ASUS A7N266 and I found a setting called "cpu fast decode". What exactly does that do?

it makes your CPU decode faster, what do you think it does?

i searched everywhere on the asus website and could not find anything on this except that it appeared from a certain bios revision. no idea what it does though, plz tell us when you'll find out

I mean, it was right there in my face. what exactly does it decode fast? why is there a bios setting when they could have implemented it automatically? is it safe to actually turn it on? tell me, since you're such a such a bonafide isonews smartass and all. your welcome. You can put it on normal or fast mode, it wont make any difference.
