is there nothing that can be done to stop the bots spamming up the forums/registering? do we have a captcha in place?

failing that, mod me! :D

I have been seeing all your reported posts and I certainly appreciate the effort. The spam is annoying but I'd like to refrain from adding anything more to combat it. We do have a captcha in place. I think these are real spammers (not automated bots) because they also have to use a legitimate email address to confirm registration to post. A determined spammer will find a way.

As for modding you, I would be all for continuing that discussion in PM.

Closing this for now as we already have a thread discussing this in the admin forum.

I can't help but wonder why these spammers wouldn't take the time to better translate their pitch after investing the effort into creating a forum account.

Man, see if I ever report spam again,   I clicked report spam and then got IP banned for who knows how many months :P
