I have the same game and the same problem. Never managed to make it work, and no-one ever bothered cracking it :(
There are another 5 or 6 games which totally refuse to boot on PAL DC and there is no patch at all for them.
Also, looks like the latest jap games have changed video routines, since there is no way to get rid of those nasty black borders. Pal-patcher and ADR-patcher can't help on those.

Pro Yakyu Team [darkcity]
Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu [private]
Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Net Edition [Private]
Pro Yakyu Team Desoubo [private]
Pro Yakyu Team Desoubo Net Edition [private]
Motto Pro Yakyuu Team wo Tsukurou [souldc]

The only differences with these games are the rosters and team updates. As far as i could figure out they are all written by the same coding team and look almost identical.

I know for certain that one of these games does work on a Pal dreamcast. I think it's the 'Desoubo' rls's...not 100% sure though as i don't have them handy.

Out here in R18 land [asia] i have only found 2 'Pro Yakyu Games' which also makes me suspect that the '...Desoubo' and '...Powerful Pro Yakyu' games are one and the same. The fact that one of these 2 sets works on a Pal DC whilst the other doesn't makes me slightly unsure about this assumption though. [it's not like r18 has ever bothered to 'fix' Pal protection before]

As for the exact name of the 'R18' release posted by Shinosuke above : I really couldn't say for sure which one it is. I would hazard a guess that it's the 'darkcity' rls which was more widely spread on the web.

Peace...

M

That's actually incorrect.  The Powerful Pro games are from the popular Konami series, the rest are Sega's own fare.
