Arcanum (2001) [leaked version]
« on: June 23, 2015, 05:53:11 AM »
Hello friends,

I'm a part of the Arcanum community who try to save the heritage of Troika Games. My task is to search rare files related to the Arcanum videogame. We've made a few significant steps to get those files. The next move we are to do is to achieve the leaked version of the Arcanum. This version leaked from Sierra, later was created first pirate version of the Arcanum, which based on this leaked version. I need find this leaked version of the Arcanum, which was placed in web. Why do I need? Rumors are about that this version has sources engines. I have the first pirate version from Fairlight and it haven’t something unique or useful for us. Because I need exactly first digital version of the Arcanum before it fell into the hands Fairlight. I know that some users here has one and will be great if they will respond me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards, Arcanum community.

"Rumors are about that this version has sources engines"

Very substantial evidence right here. Second, in all honesty. Why would a leaked version contain a totally different engine from the actual retail release? You're telling me people went to the trouble to create this game to run on two different engines? Very unlikely and I would dare say this is bs

I wish you luck

I think he's referring to the fact that it has the source code available, not that it's running on the source engine. The source engine came out 3 years after this game.

Yes that would be more logical, haha

No, this is the Beta version and it was found by our group.  :)

Theisonews - the last place there I can find the leaked version of the Arcanum. If I don't find it here, then I don't find it nowhere.

Although it is true that isonews FTP server is still alive and operational 24/7, and it's also true that it has every version of arcanum ever released, we don't know enough about you to provide you with an access to our coveted, 0day, ratio-free server.  If one of the members of CLASS or Razor 1911 can vouch for you, I see no problems allowing you an access.

The joke is absolutely on you.

Access to our super-ultra-secret server is very exclusive and maximmm has already had his download capped for talking openly about our clandestine gem.

Epic...
You know your game is crap when people don't even bother pirating it.

Ok, I understand that this "precious" not available for a mere mortals. But I still need a help in my search. Can you just check a first version of the Arcanum in your FTP and search the source of a code in it?
