Officially put a hold on watching any further trailers for this movie, they're really on the brink of ruining just about everything in it if you have half a mind and can put together the jumbled pieces.

Totally.  I watched the first trailer in spite of my policy not to watch any for movies I'm definitely gonna see.  Not watched the second trailer and not gonna.

Even if the plot is slightly different to what you expected, your overall experience is still affected negatively

if watching the trailer can ruin the movie, the movie wasn't all that great from the inception

Yeah except that's not the point.   The point is having moments of surprise to the movie, that includes plot elements as well,  i.e. seeing hulk fighting iron man in a hulk buster suit, I think I might have jizzed my pants when I saw that on screen, now it's more like "yeah I'm expecting that part of the movie..."

Don't get me wrong, this is not a work of art we're talking about, it will not even be nominated for best picture except maybe in some MTV movie award action movie category, but if they spoil something about a particular Avenger dying in the trailer it's going to have a lot less emotional impact when you see it on the screen.
