I've been playing Final Fantasy X on Playstation 2 and when the audio is silent there is an annoying buzzing noise like a zombie fly being electrocuted perpetually.
I researched the issue and came up with a few recommendations that didn't help. One said that it was a ground issue and I should plug all my electronics into the same outlet. I moved all the stuff I'm using (Plasma TV, Wireless headphones, Playstation 2) all onto the same surge protector. Still, I hear a buzzing noise.
Then I read that I should remove the coaxial cable. I did that and I still hear the buzzing noise.
I started to take stabs in the dark from there. I use a component cable for my PS2 that I purchased from eBay, I figured perhaps it was chinese junk so I removed it and hooked the original Sony RCA cable to the PS2, still, I hear buzzing.
I don't get this buzzing noise on my laptop, ps3, wii u or any other stuff when I use it with the TV.
It is a mystery.
EDIT: I hooked the Sega Dreamcast up and it does the same buzzing noise. Maybe this is just an issue with older devices on RCA and Component. Is there no way to get rid of this?
