The Government took it. They're in on the whole deal. Ask acme for details.

From what I've seen of general public opinions, this console is going to faceplant into the floor at light speed. Even the most hardcore die-hard fanboys are saying they won't buy this machine. I'm amazed the MS put in some of the "features" they did, they must have realized it would destroy their potential sales.

Microsoft is aiming to the mainstream market. Sure, videogames became more mainstream, much more than a few years ago when it was only for geeks and little more. But it's nothing compared to the real mainstream. Nintendo tried with the Wii, and had some success. Microsft want's to go much further.

And I think they might pull it off. Most negative comments about XBone comes from videogaming websites, forums and blogs. Mainstream press had positive articles and previews.

There's a very good reason for that I would imagine.

I honestly didn't think they'd budge from their plans. It must have been an awkward meeting with the publisher CEO's as you have to assume they'd agreed to some pretty big pay-offs for adding the no trades rule ;D

Let this be a lesson for them, and/or the other DRM obsessed wankers who try this shit on us all the time.

...But the sad thing is we'll all pay in the long run by having to pay bigger fees for online passes.  :-[

Now if they removed the bundled Kinect and make the console the same price as the PS4, Sony may even start worrying  :D

The kinect always-on enforcement seems to be still on though... that might still deter some people, however many less.

Conspiracy theorists will still be bothered by the Kinect functionality but the price right now is still the biggest one-up Sony has over MS.
