How is Ni No Kuni?
I have the exact same thoughts as you, I mostly play on 360, but the occasional PS3 exclusive makes me want to play
I'm enjoying Ni No Kuni.
The combat system is nice, but I would have prefered a turn based system. Having to switch combatants (pokemon style), scroll commands in real time, can become a little bit out of control, but maybe that's just me.
The game is gorgeous. The anime cut scenes, the 3D graphics, etc. The translation is excelent, not just a simple "port" from Japanese to english. Voice acting is also good, although I've settled for the japanese audio, the english audio is very well done (I just prefer to have use the original audio, whenever possible, instead of dubs).
The Wizard's Companion, the book in the collector's edition is fully digitalized in the game, although large sections of it must be earned along the game (you get pages about monsters, spells, short stories as you progress in the story or aquire them in game). Once again, the english translation is excelent and detailed.
This is a quality and polished game. If you like the genre, try it ASAP.
@mef: multiman is still the best game manager/launcher. And AFAIK, there's no 4.31 CFW, but it's been a few days since I've checked the scene.
