Best way to run Mac OSX virtualized on Windows 7?

I am running Windows 7 64bit and I acquired a .iso image of Mac OSX 10.8. I tried using VMWare Workstation 9.0 to add a new environment. They don't appear to support Mac OSX natively as there is no option to choose to emulate it. I tried running it as "Other" and the image fails to boot.

Any suggestions?

I have it running as Others - Mac OSX 10.7 64-bit on VMWare Workstation 9.

Downloaded a VMDK with 10.8 preinstalled that worked as a fresh install, you just run it and setup the 1st boot as if you just finished installing.

Have setup the VM with 4 cpus + 16Gb ram, performance is great, everything works. Even updated to 10.8.1.

Just google 'mountain lion vmware', i used the first link to DL + setup.

There is a vmware patch u can use to add os x to the list of choice. Once applied, you have to use a special iso of os x as a boot unit of ur vm and install os x on ur VM's harddrive from that "boot unit os x kinda thing".

Used it for os x developement this summer works perfect except the mouse accel tend to go from os x mouse accel to windows and back and forth, its still better than 24/7 os x mouse accel

That's what I ended up doing. I used the VMWare image available on the net and the patch to make OSX an option. Seems to be working now.

I'm using it sporadically just to check some of my friends claims that "it just works and it's perfect".

I cant legitimately say it sucks without using it right? That would make me seem like a typical Mac user.

the mouse acceleration is unbearable though, but I always use the touchpad which is the best in the market by far
