PS Vita

Has anyone picked one of these up and been as disappointed in the game library as I've been? I have no clue as to what brilliant mind thought it'd be a terrific idea to create an amazing hand-held device, and then not put any games out for it. I'm not trading it in anytime soon, as I'm hopeful there'll eventually be a decent selection of games, but it's frustrating to see such a solid gaming device receive little to no attention from not only the public, but its creators as well.

I have one, only played Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on it (great game, first time I play it). Bought Touch My Katamari too. Those are the only two games and I have my Vita since launch day.

Will get Gravity Rush this month, and that's about it for 2012 it seems... or maybe Sumioni if it gets released this year.

That "blob attacks/attack of the mutant blob/whatever" game is really fun, if you like platformers. It's only like $8 or something too, and I'd love to see more quality titles around that price on there. I still can't believe they put that dungeon crawler iOS app on there for $40, and didn't change or add a thing to warrant that price.

Escape Plan is pretty good too, but both of those games are kind of on the short side.

I bought one on launch day and while there were a handful of (fairly) decent games, I got bored quickly, traded it and got a new ipad instead.  Havent looked back.

I got more use out of my PSP than this..  Shame really, the hardware is cool, but the software is awful and has Sony's handcuffs all over it.  You can feel just by using it that its Sony who controls it, and that puts me off more than anything.
Rookie, since 2003.

So far, there isn't anything really worth buying a Vita for. Sure, the incoming Persona 4: The Golden is tempting, but too little to buy a handheld. Shin Megami Tensei 4 was announced too, but still too little and too late.

When these games come out, the Vita will be probably cheaper, so no need to buy the Vita now. And even then, I'll only consider buying it if more interesting games are announced.

The 300€ would be probably better spent on a PC upgrade for the Watch_Dogs, Grand Theft Auto 5 and ArmA 3.

I bought the Assassin's Creed Vita bundle when it was on sale around black friday 2012. I got it for 160 or so, quite a bargain, and I used a gift card on it so it wasn't much of an investment for me.

I played Gravity Rush and thought it was mediocre. No other game currently released or expecting to be released interests me. The 3DS has a way better lineup of games, though to be fair it has been on the market longer and has less powerful hardware resulting in cheaper to produce games.

I also have a PSP that I never played much. Sony doesn't understand portable gaming, imo. All the games they put on handhelds tend to be games I'd rather play on the PS3, like Valkyria Chronicles 2.

Meanwhile the DS, DSi, and 3DS games are always well-suited for travel and quick on the go gaming.

The Vita has interesting hardware. The OLED screen is amazing. I wish they'd open it up to developers, though. I feel like there's no use for my Vita most the time.

Another problem is that stupid proprietary card that is grossly expensive. My Vita has a 4GB card it came with and vita games are around 2-3GB. Obviously I'm not going to be downloading much content and the sale I saw recently for a 20$ 32GB microSDHC card won't change that since I'll be needing the 100$ Sony card instead.

Supposedly there will be some improvement once PS4 gets released as Vita was practically designed to work together with it.
