That's a flawed reasoning. People either have to watch NSFW avatars or none at all. I don't think the extremes are the most sensible options.

OTOH, if only mods and admins can have avatars, then disabling avatars is no problem at all.

Without Penguin, this site would not exist at this point and probably would have stopped existing a while ago. He's put in a lot of work into this site and if his random avatars piss anyone else off to the point that it bothered fracture, they can leave too if they don't want to disable them. This isn't a democracy, we have been and will continue to listen to people's suggestions but if we don't agree with one or two then accept it or move on. Crying and whining about only makes you annoying.
