Missing accounts = who gives a shit?

So, some accounts got lost in the move and now everything associated with these accounts is just gone?

Can I ask a question?

I have seen a couple posts from Penguin that seem contradictory on the subject of missing accounts. On one he seems to say that accounts are indeed missing, on another he seems to say that only the connection between accounts (username) and posts are lost (thus giving "guest" posts everywhere)...

My old account seems totally gone ("elgen0"), as well as reference to the name on posts I have made...I think both the accounts as well as all reference to them are gone...

...am I to take it this is the new state of things, and will not be fixed?

I do not claim to understand fully the technical issues involved, but an upgrade it does not seem to be because the old site seemed to know my account, and the posts I made just fine...

OK WTF is with the zillion CAPTCHA questions just to post a reply? I can deal with losing my old account but this is silly. Oh BTW some silly bastard changed the Wiki info about the DOJ seizure to 1492.

The captcha en question thing was set up, because within the span of 15 minutes of setting up the board, I already had to clean up around ten spam accounts who were spamming the forums. It really is that bad these days, unfortunately :(

Don't worry one I read the sticky note that cleared everything up. Spam accounts are ridiculous now.
