I did play with it too and it looked way too fragile... Like it is going to break any minute now...

the back cover is so thin and the body is huge, so it is weird that they didnt choose to fortify it a little by using metal or stronger plastic... and the back side is so slippery making it want to fall from your hands..

going without a proper case for protection with this phone means it'll die quite fast

Just saying I dropped my Galaxy S1 on concrete from my jacket front pocket several times, forgetting I had it there and bending over to pick something up. Was even caught in the rain with it while I had it in my shorts and I was soaked through. It hasn't given a fuck yet. Worst thing that happened was that the cover fell off and the battery fell out. Oh, and it got a small dent in the corner from one of the times where it hit the ground. The design is the same btw.

Now iPhones...
MY GOD THEY SUCK ASS. We have 17 of them at work(because the derp de derps want them) and half of them needed repairs within 1 year. My god I hate them.

Btw. the design makes sense. On iPhones it's sturdy and very much a massive compact design with a metal frame. When dropped the impact energy has no where to go. So it shits itself and breaks the glass. On the Galaxy series the bouncy back cover acts as a crumple zone, throwing a fit and for instance ejecting the battery while leaving the important parts such as the display intact.

I really like this phone though it is a little heavy for the pockets if I'm not wearing a belt. During the summer my shorts kept sliding down and I had to pull them up, and I really dislike wearing belts on shorts.

It's got a great OS and good apps though. I especially love the 'send to mobile' chrome extension, and the sync between Chrome installations. The camera is also very neat, and the HDR function is awesome. Since it snaps a non-HDR photo with every HDR photo, I can blend them together in Photoshop to make a better image still.
5 Years ago I didn't even use a mobile, and now I always have it and I tend to check a lot of web stuff through the apps. Still don't like my ISP having 6 months of logs of wherever I go though.

Oh and I love how I can browse and install apps from my PC. It's a little easier to quickly navigate on PC but also if someone mentions an app on a forum or whatever, or they give a link, I can easily install.

You might wanna point the finger at the clumsy faggots who work in your company rather than Apple.  I've had 3 generations of iphones and not one of them has had a fault that wasn't of my own doing.

I've bought an iPhone 4 when it came out. Best phone I've ever had. And I had many (SonyEricsson, Nokia, Samsung, Alcatel, etc), but this one is, by far, the best one. ANd I don't see myself changing phones so soon (not even for another iPhone).

After the disapointing Samsung Omnia II, the iPhone really shined to me.

i'd definitely recommend trying an S3 before writing it off, i'd say this is the best phone I'VE ever had (and I had the iphone 4).

Also got an S3 since July. It really exceeded my expectations almost all around. First it's the screen and camera. It feels a little big in your hand initially but after a couple days, you cannot hold an iPhone without laughing. Drop it on a table next to a 4s and wait for reactions.

The connectivity is also something else. You could pair it with your ps3 controller and then to your tv via hdmi ( or wirelssly with the proper device) and start gaming.

I dislike Apple's way of doing things, so for me it was an obvious choice but it ended being more than I was expecting. There's no comparison with the 4s. No idea how iPhone 5 will turn out, the smaller screen kills it for me but the processor seems to have the edge over the S3 (especially the dual core US version).

Samsung phones look so dull, breakable and plastic-y... I'm always afraid that their cheapness will rub off on me.

I hate people, but I love gatherings.
