Audio (music) levels in BDRip's?
« on: September 05, 2010, 01:08:18 PM »
Anyone know what's up with the odd audio levels, mostly the music being extremely loud compared to voices in BDRip's? This occurs in VLC and Windows Media Player, with a bunch of different releases I've downloaded, they all have this problem, anyone else experience this?

I've always had this problem, even with DVDrips.  AC3filter helps to an extent if you enable DRC, but not by much.

It's weird. I have Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty with Logitech Z5500 and Tritton AX360 and the most I've had to do is to raise a bit the center channel's volume but mainly because I want to hear the dialogue a bit better without raising the overall volume too much.

Argh this shit is driving me insane, anyone find any kind of solution yet? Do these "AC3" releases have anything to do with audio that is used in the rip?

Indeed, they are made to watch on a 5.1 sound system, that's why it doesn't sound good in 2.1 or stereo...
