Replacement needed for ancient M3 Simply
« on: April 06, 2010, 10:24:20 AM »
My son's ancient M3 Simply isn't cutting it anymore, no new firmware for an age and it's refusing to play most of the latest games - the Pokemons, new F.fantasy etc.
I'm well out of the loop on this so can anyone recommend a good replacement with regularly updated firmware that'll cope with the latest protections please?

Hit up GBATemp for reviews of various cards, and Dealextreme for the devices themselves.

Dealextreme has discontinued selling all DS cards and only has the cyclods showing now. Nothing else appears to be sold there. Sucks because I've been waiting for the AceKard 2i to come back there and it hasn't.
I also like to get my ass stimulated.

I saw a rumor about that but wasn't sure if it was true.
Interesting.
No doubt there's probably a half dozen other sites flogging them on the cheap.
Worst case, ConsoleSource has you covered. Much pricier though.

Thx for the replies guys, just ordered the AceKard 2i for £15 inc delivery.
From what I can see the firmware was last updated 12 days ago, a little more recent than the 2years ago for the M3Simply lol.

With the M3 simply being an old R4 clone just run the Wood R4 firmware on it. It was updated just a few days ago & runs just about everything.
