maintain quality when burning?

I got a good copy of Avatar and played it over media center and it looked great. But when I burned it and played it the video was washed out. I burned with Nero. Just wondering whats the best options to maintain the video quality.

It wont matter. Avatar without the 3d is a steaming pile of rehashed feces.

What's the source format? I hope you didn't re-encode XviD into a DVD.

Or just wait for retail Blu-Ray.
