Method to test if your console is flagged for banning

I don't know who actually figured out this trick but a lot of people have tested this and results have been consistent. This only works if you select United States when it asks you what region you're from.

1. go to http://service.xbox.com

2. In the left column display under console management, click on "register a console."

3. Either register a new windows live ID or login with one you currently have.

4. Click on the "register a console" button.

5. Enter the serial number of your xbox 360 (found on the back of the unit) and all of the other informaiton. everything but your serial can be bogus, but just make sure you have your region on united states and correct zip codes according to state and then hit submit.

6. Your console should show up, and click the "request a repair" button that is right under it.

one of two things will happen:

Either A) an error screen will pop-up stating "This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try back again later" which means your console is "flagged" for banning OR B) it will take you to the online submission form where you can fill out information to return your console to MS for repair and you are not "flagged".

I'm too scared to check.

They'll probably take a good look at everybody who visited the repair page over and over again during the ban wave.

I know, I'm paranoid, but at least as far as I know, still not banned.

I'm staying offline until our lord and saviour c3po or whatever his name is has a chance to sort this out

Anybody know of a link to updates from him (assuming there are any that seem legit)?
