Converting FRAPs movies to a reasonable size

Ok so I've started using FRAPs and have found that even a short recording of in-game footage is huge!!!
So what is the best (hopefully free) way of decreasing the size to something more manageable and even web downloadable?
Cheers

VirtualDub
In the
Video
menu
Full processing mode
should be selected and then select
Compression
from the same menu and you get to choose and configure the codec. Same with
Audio
.
