Thanks for the info, me and my 6800GT were getting desperate.

Grabbing em now.  Doubt I'm going to see any extreme performance increase in any games though.

since when? vid driver updates have always been posted in games...more people check the pc games section anyway so it makes sense but whatever

You forgot to read Stegg's Rules Addendum thread (which has now been merged into the main Rules thread)?

1. Graphics Card Drivers

Dont post new graphics card driver releases in the PC Games forum anymore, post them in the Software & Programming forum from now on. Why? Because its software, not a game, and primarily because it doesnt necessarily pertain to just games. Sure, most of us use our graphics card for games, but there are usually other things that stem from that in the discussion; how they work in a particular Non-Game App, system performace, Windows OS performance, etc.

well thats pretty stupid imo but alrighty you are the boss...i mean who installs new drivers and talks about how well windows performs or how well some "non-game" APP works...

vid drivers are for games and when a new driver comes out i really dont think ive seen too many people discuss anything else but GAMES

That's because the GF4 Ti actually beats the shit out of FX cards. Anyway, that's not the point. Why aren't the older cards not supported when they said it was supported in the first place.

Tried them on my 6800 ultra and they suck. Getting 9 fps where my old 84's never even stuttered.

I'd take a Ti4200 over an FX any day.
