Used to be AMD and ATI fan, but when I switched to Intel and nVidia I am actually happy, and I can feel the system is much much better quality.

Best setup right now for a killer price:

o INTEL CORE 2 QUAD PRO Q9300 2.5 6M 1333 BOX LGA775 (BX80580Q9300)
o EVGA 512-P3-N841-AR GEFORCE 8800GTS 512M DDR3 PCI-E2.0 D+D+HD HDTV-7 ROHS RETAIL (512-P3-N841-AR)

I was going to say the E8500 which is $30 cheaper then the Q9300 but once I saw the benchies for Q9300 you have to simply go Quad to "future-proof" yourself.

That EVGA 8800GTS 512mb got the highest benches and its price is a steal (until the 9800GTXs come in March/April then it'll go down even farther).
Removed specs due to them being classed as L.T.B bait (Low Tech Bastard)

Intel Core2Duo E6550 + ATI HD 3850 (because at the time I've build the sys this was the best choice for the money I had pay to). I'm happy with it, despite the fact that my ATI only has 256 MB VRAM...
