That mail is nothing, they won't go to court. Two years ago I received 6 warnings in a month, never heard anything about it after that.

how did he obtain the game, because I have to believe this is nothing. I don't believe that ISP's can actually monitor your content, just the amount you download.

But that's besides the point. Re-read the letter. His ISP received a complaint. They are not the ones who found him out. It's a known fact that the RIAA/MPAA and their foreign equivalents sit on p2p networks and log IP addresses for the purpose of filing complaints.

Are you retarded? Read the email again : "Please note that TELUS has not provided any of your personal account information to the complainant. It is TELUS' policy to disclose such information to a complainant only if ordered to do so by a court of law, which has not happened to date."

That sounds a hell of a lot better than most ISPs that bend over and hand information straight to RIAA, MPAA etc.

Nope. Thjey can sniff for specific programs/ports and see packets.
