Best Arcade games.....

I now have my 2 x 6 button arcade machine up and running with a PC inside for mame..

Can you lot list (as far as you remeber) your top 10 arcade games
Just so i can make sure I haven;t missed any classics.

I have access to all teh roms, but don;t really want to put them all on the machine. (overload of choice)

Some nice games - few of my old faves aren't there, like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Rastan and Sunset Riders

EDIT: Also Vigilante and Prisoners of War.  Of course it's possible I only love these games for nostalgia reasons, and if you didn't play them in the 80's you'll think they're crap, but I think most of them are still fun today.  
EDIT2: No Altered Beast or Rampage?

I didn;t put in C&D as i just didn;t like it for some reason.. but Rastan.. good call, and Viglainte and Rainbow islands.. I was playing bubble bobble last night.. that rocked

Bubble Bobble, nothing even gets close.

Well, this might not fit into a useful MAME suggestion, but I was always fond of Road Riot in the arcades, where you sat down in a roll cage inclosed cabinet and the seat popped you in the back when you got shot. I don't think any other game ever did that.

Put Galaga 88 on instead of 84 (much better)

I'd take Mr Do's Castle over Wild Ride any day

Ahh, the arcades, i wonder how much money i wasted there? Actually it probably wasnt all that much now that i think back, i mostly played with 'fake' quarters

Some of the alltime favourites were ofcourse Bubble Bobble, Double Dragon and Shinobi...

There's a another game that i loved but not all that many people seem to have heard about it, it's kinad like Bubble Bobble tho and i think it's called Snow Brothers, where instead of bubbles you throw snow and make snowbals and then you send those snowballs flying to take out other monsters, was superfun

Green Beret was a personal favourite of mine (prob cos it was one of the few arcade games I could get all the way through, along with Rolling Thunder).

Someone mentioned Rastan, always crashed in the same spot (way into the game) in the arcade I first played it in, yet it didn't stop me pumping 10p's into it!!!

Ms. Pac-Man
Gauntlet II
Tempest
Tetris

Multiplayer:

Street fighter II HF(not the first SF2)/Super SF2 Turbo
SF Alpha 3
Street fighter 3: third strike (need the real board or a Dreamcast or PS2 for arcade perfect play, though)
Capcom vs SNK2 (same as above).
Marvel vs Capcom 2 (same)

That's all you really need for a lifetime of gaming goodness.

Unfortunately, you can't do much with the naomi or CPS3 stuff now, without a PS2 or DC or real board.

and Ghouls and Ghosts has to be one of the hardest games ever made.  Although I heard that the Super NES version was even **harder** than the arcade machine.  And yet I knew people who could beat Ghosts and Goblins (I didn't know any ghouls and ghosts players, as that machine was not at my local arcade or bowling alley) on one quarter...

I recommend just getting all the ROMS, and use a frontend like GameEx (excellent!) that lets you build favorites lists. Best of both worlds.

With GameEx, you can also get your console emus on, as well as MAME, and even have favorite lists that combine games from all emus/platforms.
