Newsgroups are becoming much more widely known and will be mainstream in less than a year, guaranteed. Everyone and their mother is reccomending the damn thing.

Judging by the amount of providers and customers, a hell of a lot of people. Now take your double postin' trolling to OT.

The only way I see usenet getting 'mainstream' is if it becomes simpler to use. I know, how simple can downloading and combining .rar files into a .cue/bin, getting a burner program, editing the .cue if needed, burning, installing, copying the crack and related files from the cd onto the program install dir, and playing the game really be? Exactly.

The majority of people don't know what a .cue is, let alone a .003, .iso, keygen etc. And usenet posters dont follow any 'guidelines', so who knows what gets posted? P2P is far more simple to use for ignorant computer users.

Shouldnt the next 'big' thing in mainstream warez be alone the lines of a encrypted torrent system? I thought I read something about a new, trackerless system that is supposidly coming out soon?
...and that\'s the end of that chapter.

jeez dude, a torrent is exactly like an nzb, only you usually par2 the releases instead of sfv checking them..
downloading from usenet isnt exactly rocket science, and neither is torrents.

Obviously to you, I, and the majority of isonews users. But to the rest of the world, if it aint like Napster, it's scary and out of reach.

The majority of online users can't even stay on top of their spyware, virus and computer patches. You expect them to know and comprehend what Usenet is? Now, after all these years? Maybe over time, but by then, I expect there will be newer, faster, easier and more anonymous systems in place.
...and that\'s the end of that chapter.

Err I think we must be using two different definitions of the word mainstream. Of course not everyone who uses the internet is in my definition, considering where this discussion is taking place. Right now, though, anyone who uses bittorrent, IRC, anything else of that nature, will have no problem understanding newsgroups. You're really making the process out to be more difficult than it is.

Search for file on search engine, hit "Download message", let it open the program automatically and you're good to go.

Once download is finished? All that's involved is right clicking the first .rar file (everyone can count) and selecting "Unrar here". Okay, so now a .cue and .bin file is there. All they need to do is double left click the .cue file and the burning program automatically opens for them, ready to burn it.

But like I said, this isn't about them. This is about the fact that right now everyone who uses other means of obtaining larger-end items will be looking into newsgroups, because it couldn't be simpler to use. It's going to spike, and it's going to do so majorly, especially when some ISP's are giving out newsgroup access (limited to 1-2gb usually). All someone needs is a taste of this stuff and they'll never give it up.

As you said it's pretty easy for majority of isonewsers. Most people in the world don't know how to install programs even.
Most people who use BitTorrent won't understand usenet too. At least not that easily. Usenet was always a method of obtaining files for, how to put it, more hightech oriented people.
If they make newsgroups more easier to use, then maybe.

For the record, I am not using them, I just know about all methods in general.

You signed up to a warez forums just to preach your morals?? or was it just for the general forums?? perhaps you just dont know how to use newsgroups and have a little sand in your vagina due to the fact that your missing out??

LOL, i can get anything i want without having to pay extra $20/month to sign up with some usenet provider.  So how are you superior again?

cause i download games and movies within an hour(top speed I got was 1025 kbs), instead of relying off off shitty tracker, waiting on emule for fucking ever, or having to suck dick to get access to a ftp.   Face it, fuck face, you lose this battle.  With the right tools and sites(FTD, newsbin, NZB sites, ect), you can find ANY FUCKING THING you want on newsgroups, and snag it faster.

I look forward to battling your stupidity in the future.

You mean centralized like email is centralized?

This is the most retarded point I've seen you make in here. You clearly dont understand how usenet works.
