I pirate because it's the right thing to do. Robbing from big corporations and all such is the only sensible thing to do. It's just like shoplifting, I mean who doesen't shoplift? It's not stealing, it's just getting things for yourself, while not supporting some big fat ass corporations.

And yes stealing someone's car is perfectly ok also. It's the owner's problem for owning/driving one. What a fucking idiot. Robbing people is pretty bad though, unless they're rich.

All you stupid assholes who look up to police, laws, morale, bibles teachings or whatever are a bunch of idiots. I'd propably kick your ass in real life

I am W3a7herman

This old Buddhist monk sees a scorpion caught up in a rapid and jumps in to save him. When he reaches the scorpion he says to the scorpion 'I will save you but do not sting me'. He takes the scorpion on his shoulders and is fighting the foaming waters to reach the shore and save not only the scorpion but also himself. Whilst the preacher is fighting for both their lives the scorpion stings him, injecting his deadly paralyzing poison into the priests neck. 'Why did you do that' the priest exclaims, 'Now we will both die!'. The scorpion replies 'It is what scorpions do'. End of story, I am sure there is a moral in there somewhere because I use it to explain why I do most things I do.

well thats a load of crap, the scorpion doesnt have a choice in the matter, you do. you have the gift of intelligence, and that little analogy is just an excuse to lift the responsibility of your actions off your chest.

take some responsbility at least.

Dear g,
Genetics and enviroment play a big part in who and what we are. It is pervertedly pavlovian but so is a planet hammered by too many meteors. Break up- or break up. I won't swear by Zen but i'll swear by experience. Before I die, Before I decay...On a cable, on the elevator, on the beach forever.
When you do not have confidence what do you have?
paranoia doubt and first and foremost thirst while you drewl and puke in that lonely hell while your ex is on her way to an abortus and cuz you don't believe in hell you don't feel any better battered and bruized while your cat is waiting to be fed. Robbed and stripped nakid and tripping you still try to blame god for your misfortune or will you let the scorpion do what it does best. Let the scene be. Do not publisize our thoughts motivations IP's or whatevers. The Scene, Sceners, Leechers and noobs are teh fight club. I am a senior by age and a member of many a fight club and vote for passworded forums.
First RULE!
NOW for all of you fight in your own head!

Only if you have a very fast connection. Some poor folks download stuff for weeks.

In that case they'll have to justify themselves with another bullshit reason...

I think it's rather psychological. At first, the reasons are obvious, when I first started to use computers (where software was copyable), I was young and my dad got copied games and software. An Amiga it was. Since i was a kid & I had a 'role model' making things much more enjoyable for me, why shouldn't I have it drummed into my head that it's ok? I know it's not, but I guess it's how you're raised. The real question for me isn't to justify not paying for games, its to justify why I would want to pay for a game. That, as in many people's cases is because I like the game or want to support the company that has made it.

Which I do practice, it's not a case of it being incredibly hard for me to buy a game. In fact, I love buying games, but if you do it too often the appeal isn't there anymore and I'd end up funding a company that I didn't believe deserved my cash. Like EA for example. Don't get me wrong, demos do work and I'm not making excuses, but since warez is there, I'd be a fool not to be able to utilize it.

In the end I want to pay for original and exciting games and don't want to fund a company that's going to carry on making shit.

Pretend for a moment that you could purchase a "blank" car and turn it into any type of car you wanted.  How much would that blank car cost by today's software standards?  Well an average game costs $54 including tax. The average blank DVD runs 50 cents. That works out to 1/108 the cost of an average game.  Now imagine that an average car costing $35K could be had for 108th of the price; or $324.  How many middle class soccer moms do you think would be dropping off the kids in a 2006 Mercedes SUV vs they're '93 Toyota?  How many low income 20 something guys would own a couple Mclaren F1's?  How many 30 something women would be running errands in their 06' Jaguar convertible. And how many 11th graders would be taking their H2's to high school?

I don't have to justify anything to anybody.

It's wrong and people do it.  big fucking deal.   I liken it to speeding on the highway... the majority of people do it..
speeding isn't wrong, it's illegal.

illegal != wrong
