I take what I can and I have no problems with that. The rest of the fucking population who pays for games will pick up the tab for my leeching. And if they dont and software companies go out of business... oh well big deal, I'll find some other way to kill time.

What I dont get is why everyone tries to justify their leeching with stupid bullshit like "im poor" or "shit costs too much". You only need 1 reason:
"BECAUSE I FUCKING CAN". It's stealing? Yeah, who cares, big deal...

My reason is because I wouldnt buy half these games anyways, and partially Riemann's reason. But its true I'd have baught more games if it wasnt for piracy, but im a cheap lazy bastard and downloading is almost harmless and easier.

poor ppl should download and thanx the releasers (anyway, if a person download SC3 for example, i can't believe he is poor... he must have nice hardware...).

I don't really play a lot of games, but I do download the big titles.
Those titles will sell shitloads anyway and I don't think rockstar gives a fuck if I download GTA:SA..
But if some small developer releases an amazing game, support them by buying the game.
Really, it encourages the publisher to publish more from them, and it encourages the developer to make more good games.

As for music, I purchase everything I know is good, like autechre.
As for movies, I leech those like hell and I never buy movies.

My reason:

I love computer games and movies. Games are too expensive for me, because I don't play one game a month I play a lot more than that. One month like September would cost me $250-300. It's only one month.
Many movies I watch in a theatre(yes I do), BUT there are many films which are limited or some shit and I don't have a choice but only download them as DVDRiPs.
Music, I don't keep up much, but if I want some song I leech it.

I'm not going to make up some sugar coated bullshit why I download... it boils only to one reason - money. Why pay for something if I can get it for free? But I do buy and pay for shit I deem is well worth it. But 95% of the bullshit companies put out on the market is just to make a quick cash grab... and why I do have to buy licenses or multiple copies of Windows if I have more then one computer in my house??? I can't afford pitching out $120 per Windows for all of my PCs. That's just theft in itself if the EULA says 1 license per computer for residential use...
