So... What Did You Just Watch?

In the past week I've seen

Johnny Got His Gun (1971) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067277/

A young American soldier (Joe) in WW I is wounded by a landmine. He looses his arms, legs and eyes as well as his ability to hear, speak or smell. Lying in hospital he is not able to distinguish if he is awake or if he is dreaming. Trying to find out he relives his story in strange dreams and memories.

Fucking awesome movie.  I suggest everyone check it out.

Jian Gui [The Eye] (2002) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0325655/
This movie had some pretty geniuine scary parts.  It's about a girl who gets a cornea transplant and starts to see ghosts afterwards.

The Untouchables (1987) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094226/
Almost Famous (2000) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0181875/
Rushmore (1998) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0128445/
Bottle Rocket (1996) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115734/
In the Bedroom (2001) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0247425/

Yeah, I've been watching a lot of movies lately.

Watched the whole season 3 of "The Shield" yesterday. What a marathon but it never got boring. Damn this must be the best cop-series ever. 10/10

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0286486/

Watched Terminator 3 in wm9 (hdtv-resolution) and the picture is so much more crisp and clear...  wow. Dvd looks crappy in comparison. Movie was good, cool old school action. 8/10.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0181852/

Pride Hardcore Knockouts Vol.1 was enternaining as well :-) better than ufc, not so much lame groundfights. 10/10

Shark Tale: Funny animated movie, better than nemo, cuz of the godfather-relation. 7/10

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0307453/

Goodfellas I just finished watching.. Classic movie, 10/10.

Karate Kid earlier.. Uhhh... 6/10 because a few people get kicked in the nuts

American Beauty. 10/10. Freaking awesome, cant beleive it took me so long to see this one

Brokedown Palace: 2/10. What fucking bad acting.. And with a movie with so many women in it, I didnt see any god damn titties.. Not even Thai titty.

The Beach: 5/10. I had mixed feelings about this.. Awesome scenery and lots of weed, but I dont know, it was just a strange one.

Almost Famous: 8/10. Very very good, dont know why it took me so long to see this one either.

For anyone that has seen goodfellas (and if you havent, fucking DO IT) then I would suggest checking out Casino. Same director, robert de nero is in it, and joe pesci is in it and plays the same type of fucked up whacko as he did in goodfeallas.. I enjoyed this one as much as goodfellas.
I run the Douchebaggery down on Johnson street

Birth (2004) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0337876/
great visuals and sound design, in a somewhat slow moving but tense thriller. the ending was a bit meek tho. 3/5

Fever Pitch (2005) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0332047/
very mediocre rom-com that kinda drags on without anything interesting happening. recommended for those times when a real movie is too much to take (like a friday night after a long day of work). 2/5

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371724/
maybe it's because i love the book so much... but i didn't like this much. the funny parts of the book were devaluated by the stupid cartoons that went with it, and the one liners just didn't come out right. disappointing. 2/5
I hate people, but I love gatherings.

the butterfly effect 6.5/10, wasnt too horribly bad

the rock 7/10, the movie starts off good, but the end leaves something to be desired

guess who 8/10, surprisingly had its fair share of comedy, def wasnt expecting it to be any good at all

blow 9.5/10, i always love movies about drugs, this was a masterpiece in my mind, although at the end there it made you feel sorry for the poor guy, although he was a bad dealer who deserved to be in jail, however i kept finding myself hoping for some reason he would be able to escape.

The 40 year old Virgin - 7/10

This was a funny movie, but it felt like it had something missing. Possibly Will Ferrell? I'm not saying that he should be in every movie, but the rest of the Anchorman newsteam were there.

Although, the other characters played were done excellently.

Had a animation weekend

Final Fantasy 7
http://imdb.com/title/tt0385700/
4/5 As expected from square. Saw it first without fansubs and would have voted 5/5 based on the effects. I understood about 80% of the plot, even though the only words i understood was "sephirothojo" and "cloudo".

Spirited Away
http://imdb.com/title/tt0245429/
5/5 Simply Amazing

Princess Mononoke something
http://imdb.com/title/tt0119698/
4/5 Great movie, had to see this when i looked up Studio Ghibli on imdb.

Watership Down
http://imdb.com/title/tt0078480/
4/5 (Great) I don't know what to say about this film...
