i'm not surprised at all: this game comes from the same author of republic, a 2d map with 3 choices and nothing else
why doesn't hassabis return to be the chess little genius of my ass?

Great review. I'm happy I didn't try it. I gotta get myself back on the FL ballot aswell. I like to review smaller-profile games rather than the Doom3s and HL2s around. Too much pressure to get it right and please all the fanbois and haters.

There are some valid points here. The thing that really pisses me off is lack of control over your minions, and they really do do stupid things sometimes. Last game I had to quit because I lost 40 misions fighting 4 soldiers and most of them died because of my very own traps.

just a quick fyi for your point #3 you can add on to rooms, just pretend you're starting a new room of the same type next to it... it lets you expand the old room.

Yes, I MEANT you can't delete from rooms, and you can't.

I know you can add, although its more of a 'hack' than a real feature.

There's ways to do this too - only thing you can't remove is the corridor, but the rest you can delete. Once you have enough money, room in your base is more important than money anyway.

There is? Please, do tell. The only way I found out was to remove the entire room and re-do it, which wasn't an option for rooms like the freezer and the power generator room.

Great review. I only played the demo but that's the exact impression I got from it. Not special graphics and AWFUL gameplay.

Dungeon Keeper came so ahead of the time... When will we see a proper replacement to that amazing game?

P.S Doesn't matter at all if you can or can't delete rooms. With the game's awful interface it would hardly change anything.

Build a second freezer or generator - and move all the body bags outside the room to another freezer. Then you can delete it. It's logical - you can't just get rid of the body bags like that otherwise it would be easy ;)

Your arguments for base building are crap, if you want to resize your room (make it larger) just add the same piece to the room you already have. And logically if you want it smaller you will have to destroy it.

Moving objects costs time, logical again!

I agree on the part where traps are not really effective tools, where they should be.
Control over your minions should have been better.
Alerts on the world map should have been present.
Security in general, doors and the like, should have a better effect aswell imo. Things like turrets are not even useable because they get destroyed and they caus heat at the same time.

Valid points overall here and there, but some things you misjudged and you gave up too early imo.

Score is a bit on the low side, but nice effort nonetheless
