DC Petitiond & Dreamcast <> GP32 Link Cable
« on: November 22, 2003, 03:47:26 PM »
Taken from lik-sang.com
Check out http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/ for the scoop also, I guess there is still money to be made with the dreamcast.

The DC/GP32 link cable works just like the GameCube / GameBoy Advance or Dreamcast / NeoGeo Pocket link cable does. If used with the right games, it will allow unlocking goodies, hidden features and whatever the game creators are coming up with.

The cable will also allow transferring saved games or MP3 files between the two systems. Just insert your MP3 CD into the Dreamcast and transfer your MP3 files straight to your SmartMedia card. Additionally, the creators of the KallistiOS Dreamcast development kit, Cryptic Allusion, announced that they're going to include support into their development tool.

The first game that will make use of the cable is the title Gianas Return, a game based on the famous The Great Giana Sisters by Armin Gessert, Manfred Trenz and Chris Huelsbeck (now at Factor5).
WTF?

Also news dreamcast-scene.com:

There are still petitions going around to get more games onto the DC platform.  If you would like to see more great games like border down head over there and sign the petition!

The Castle of Shikigami II

2003.11.17 - The Castle of Shikigami II (Shikigami No Shiro II) is a vertical shoot 'em up by Alfa*System in the style of Ikaruga, but you don't control a space ship, but a real character.

The predecessor of this classical genre was released on PlayStation2 and Xbox, the sequel is officially annouced for PlayStation2 and Xbox and was released recently for GameCube.

With our signature we want to show Alfa*System again that the Dreamcast is one of the most interesting platform for shoot 'em ups. Many fans of this genre are still playing their favorite shmups on this system, a behavior showing little sign of changing.
WTF?
