Anyone still using RIP's ?

Such a shame, people start to give up while some games take only 150 MB.

Hey, you can burn 4 of them on 1 CD ! :)
You have 1 new mail!
- Will you finally buy my VIAGRA® for Christs Sake ! :(

I think "rip's" is an art, nice read nfo sometimes, to see how much a big game is spread.
but I don't download nothing.

2/3 of my d/led games are Rips.. and when i download isos i mount them..   Installers look really better and thats a challenge to fit a whole game that can take 2cds in only 180meg .. it sucks that people are leaving rips :(

Rips are about all I use. If it's worth getting the full game, I'll buy it. If it's not worth it, why waste time downloading an ISO to get music and movies for a game that sucks?

Not only are rips great for their obvious size difference. But for those
games with impossible to skip movies like C&C Zero Hour & Splinter Cell.
There a God send for replay value alone. And Napster is making a legit
comeback BTW.

rips were mainly here because of slow ass dialup connection which makes it really hard to download 650MB for just one game, the reason is gone..

no point in rips anymore, at least until more games are released on DVD format.. then we will need better broadband connections, or have to suffer rips =/

First DVD rip by myth.  Nfo:

Ripped:
~~~~~~~
Movies.
Additional information:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's easy to say that clean images go to iso sites and ripped
releases go to 0day sites, but this has already been blurred
out in i.e. the movie scene and console scene. An iso
image, ripped from a dvd, doesn't belong on rip sites. The
game developers have given us a couple of DVD releases
already, and this isnt the last time they will pick DVD
as medium over CDs. As natural evolution brought us
releases on CDs, they have brought us releases on DVDs.

Ripping DVD games to CDs is a step of this evolution, and
both the groups and the site will have to adjust. MYTH realizes
this, and hereby brings you its first DVDrip. Enjoy!
