The new WoW movie is awesome, screenshots too.  Everytime a new mmorpg comes out its announced as "The Everquest Killer" and its been bullshit every time... but WoW will most likely be the one... its improving on everything EQ and cutting out the bad.  Most of the developers for WoW have high level EQ chars and know what gamers want ie: cut the level grind increase the fun factor, dont make it feel like a job.

Its only problem is that it won't come out soon enough.

lucky indeed :).. so whats the actual e3 area like? how big is it? i've always imagined e3 was uber crowded - can you comfortably see all the booths up close, and do you often have opportunities to play the games? or are their mammoth sized lineups?

IMO Ultima Online was the last great MMORPG. Everquest was never a good game, and although WOW has some awesome graphics, Itll find the same fate that every other MMORPG finds out there. Its just the nature of the beast...
Have I told you lately....that I\'m not gay?

??? Ultima Online was the FIRST great mmorpg maybe.  EQ was awesome.  Asherons Call, Dark Age of Camelot, Anarchy Online (once it got past launch problems) were all good mmorpgs.

The exhibit area is 2 massive convention halls the booths are massive some are even 2 stories tall you get to play nearly every game they show(no doom3 or HL2 playables)the queues aint long at all i played WoW for nearly an hour the only big lines are to get into the contest games to win stuff but i just wanted to play games i dont need to get all serious and shit. All in all its a great show and they have so many hot chicks with barely any clothes on ya cant take it all in in one day lots to do and see.

Horrordee, there is a ton of stuff coming for the Gamecube. Just some things announced were Mario Golf, Mario Kart, a Metroid Prime sequel, an add-on for Zelda and the list goes on and on. All in all I'd say this is one of the best E3s in quite a while. Every platform has something to unveil.

hehe. What I have from every one who has played everquest has sayed it's pretty mutch the worst mmorgp out there. Same thing on most reviews I have read. My mate who plays differrent mmorgps all the time sayed that EQ us pretty mutch like dull chat room, where you can wonder around pointlesly killing NPC's whit out any AI. Not "real" rolepalying involved at all. And it looks ugly too. But thats just his opinion.. EQ is still the most popular mmorgp (if I remember correcly) so I guess it got to have somekind of "magic" though..

Damn, I have been following devolopement of WoW too. Looks really promising.. I hope I get on betatest sometime.. :)

Hey cocney, could u please tell more about your WoW experience? What gameplay/grphical features and details really get you exited?

Yeah, EQ "sucks ass", graphics look like shit, and the game is boring as fuck but they just opened their 47th server a few weeks ago. It's still going strong after all these years and Sony has stated there will be at least 2 more expansion packs... I've had my fill of EQ but looks like it's here to stay. I don't even think Star Wars Galaxies will beat out EQ (talk about a boring game...holy shit).

Anyway, I'm far from a Blizzard fanboy and I don't jizz over their games like a lot of people do so I wasn't looking forward to WoW at all. After seeing some of the previews though I'm a little more interested in the game now. I just hope it lives up to the hype unlike all the other MMOs so far.
