i think sam'n'max just pipped dott.. but for the time x-wing and tie fighter were just incredable.. really imersive games for the days way before gfx cards etc etc..

tie fighter was a job well done... and to this day is still one of the most polished games..

Grim Fandango is great. What an original game.

It is indeed the best Adventure I've ever played...
Grim Fandango rules...

Also loved the Monkey Island series :)

The indiana jones series.. Though when I was a kid, I played through the holy grail one. I saved my game, and picked EVERY GOD DAMN GRAIL there, and they all killed me when I drank from them.. What the hell was I doing wrong??

Didn't you see the movie?  It was the plain one, ya stupid mother fucker!

I'm hesitating between Day of tentacle and the Monkey Island series (at least the first 2 episodes)...

I don't understand why so many people like DOTT that much. I loved the Monkey Islands (1-3.. didn't care too much for 4), and played them all straight thru, but I never got that into DOTT.

i just discovered ScummVM and am enjoying them all again without the blockiness...i've come to the conclusion that all the lucasart adventures rule equally...except for sam&max who are, offcourse, king...king amongst kings
can't wait for the sequel, seems like the first good game in years, 3D and it seems like it still has the oldschool-atmos, which i find stunning

Well, 3 chars to manage, humorous situations, dialogs & plot, nice sounds&voices (delightful purple tentacle), funny (temporal) puzzles... most adventure games look dull when comparing to DOTT.
Sure, Monkey Island is a great serie (at least the first 2, didn't like that much the cartoon and the 3D version) and anyway it's just a matter of taste, isn't it?

Probably dating myself with this, but I always thought The Eidolon (http://www.zzap64.co.uk/zzap10/eidolon.html) was LucasArts's (or Lucasfilm, as they were called then) most original release...

full throttle 2 has been cancelled... but looking at the direction that they were taking it (console) this could be a good thing...
