Personally I think it's a tie between Monkey Island 1 and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

maniac mansion, zak mckracken, monkey island 1,2,3,4, indiana jones and the temple of doom (i think thats what it was called), sam n max, day of the tentacle, full throttle. this list goes on. after contributing to the sierra thread also, one has to question where the fuck adventure games went...

Sam and Max and the Monkey Island series were the best of the graphic adventures. I really enjoyed Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. And of course, X-Wing and TIE Fighter consumed more time than any game ever has for me.

pick a monkey island game 1-3
4 was good but not as good as the others because you couldn't use the mouse

btw I liked fate of atlantis, jk 2, rebel assault 1 and grim fandango but monkey island is by far the best, yaaaarrrr!!

orlando bloom's character from pirates of the caribbean reminded me of guybrush but orlando was more annoying in a bad way and i wanted him to die.. but his cheesy last line "I'm a pirate!" was sooo Guybrush Threepwood.

I enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean because it was like it was from the Monkey Island universe.

Lucasarts couldn't go wrong back then. I still remember loading up Maniac Mansion on the C64 for the first time. Day of the Tenticle upped the ante when that came out as well. Indiana Jones, The Dig (which I thought was underrated)..

I guess there's not much money to be had in 2D adventure games anymore..
