Heh...The more I look at screens from this game, the less "amazing" I find it...The levels are about as detailed as the levels in UT 2003, which is a multiplayer game...Or maybe they're a bit more detailed, but nothing too impressive...Also, the shadows are about as nice as those in JK2: Jedi Outcast, so again, nothing new there...Just objects casting shadows on themselves...The polygon count "is" pretty high, "I guess"...But you can plainly see straight lines all over, especially on the models' hands and fingers...They're at the Q3 mod level...So that's Really not too great...The game uses bumb maps, which is the ONLY thing which makes it look slightly better than other games...If, by the time it comes out, you don't have a card which supports bumb mapping (GF3 and over), and IF you can run the game with that card and with the bumb maps off, the graphics will suck...And I mean suck as in Q3 copared to UT 2003...From the graphical point of view, this game is Not amazing and it is Not revolutionary in any way, since, we've had games using bumb maps for a while now...
In conclusion, UT 2003 and U2 are revolutionary, just as the original Unreal game was...So that's about it...I'm waiting for Doom 3, just like everyone, but I don't expect it to be more than just a "little" better than the other games which will be out by then...Graphically speaking, of course.
