I've seen 3 different Movies in the past 2 weeks. Each movie has the song Hallelujah in it toward the end, and in two of the movies that song is played twice.

The movies are:

Saint Ralph
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384488/

Barefoot(Barfuss)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405743/

Lord of War
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399295/

They were all good movies, but they would have been much better without that crappy song. Has anyone heard it in any other movies?

I think the song is called "Hallelujah" by "Jeff Buckley".

Wasn't it also in Face/Off? Or am I thinking of some other song?

yeah I think that's another one. The song PlasmaWhore refer to is originally written by Leonard Cohen and preformed by different artists.

yes, its very slow and acoustic, and in the 3 movies I listed I think it is sung by the same guy.

Make that 4 movies with that stupid song in it:

The Edukators
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0408777/

I don't know why but half of the movies I watch lately have the song in it. It's not like I'm seeking them out or anything. What are the odds of that?

There is also a version of it (by John Cale) used in Shrek. The song is actually by Leonard Cohen, although Buckley's version is probably the definitive one.
